WHAT DOES AURORA MEAN?

Aurora, the ethereal display of flickering lights dancing across the night sky, is one of the most enchanting sights to behold. The Inuit believed they could see the spirits of their ancestors in the luminous affair, while the Norse mythology defined aurora as the flaming bridge connecting the realms inhabited by gods.

In reality, the fascinating light shown in the high latitude regions is caused when the charged particles from the Sun strike the atoms and molecules in our atmosphere. Nevertheless, the imaginative folklores revolving around the auroras have certainly added to their intrinsic beauty.
